On October 27, 2026, the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute hosted an international scientific and practical online conference titled "The Role of Innovative Technologies in the Construction and Industrial Complex," dedicated to the Day of Workers of the Construction and Industrial Complex
On October 27, 2026, at the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute was held an international scientific and practical online conference titled “The Role of Innovative Technologies in the Construction and Industrial Complex”. Its primary goal was to implement the tasks outlined in the “Strategy for International Cooperation of the Youth of Turkmenistan for 2023–2030” approved by the Resolution of the President of Turkmenistan, as well as to accomplish the objectives set by our Honorable President to bring up an educated, broad-minded, and intelligent generation, and engage talented students in science, train highly qualified scientific personnel, and introduce innovations into the education and science system. The conference was dedicated to the Day of Workers of the Construction and Industrial Complex, solemnly celebrated in the year of “Independent, Neutral Turkmenistan - the Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses”. The event brought together professors, lecturers, postgraduates, doctoral candidates, and master's students from domestic and foreign higher educational institutions, as well as specialists from national and international research institutes and companies.
According to the agenda of the international scientific and practical conference the participants firstly visited the exhibition organized at the Exhibition and Educational Production Center of the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute. The exhibition showcased the results of research and design projects conducted by the institute's faculty and students, alongside works of applied and decorative arts. The guests observed the pavilions and the innovative projects prepared by the professors, lecturers, and youth of the institute. Among the projects presented by the faculty were designs dedicated to the landscaping and urban development of our capital city, Ashgabat, and the provinces, including conceptual designs for recreational and park zones, residential complexes, and public buildings. Noble examples of these include design concepts for the “Alaw” (“Flame”), “Dowamat” (“Continuity”), and “Abadançylyk” (“Prosperity”) monuments in Ashgabat, the complex of buildings for the Academy of State Service under the President of Turkmenistan, the first phase of the “Arkadag Medical Cluster”, the “Güneşli” (“Sunny”) Children and Youth Center, the new building complex for the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute, the complex for the International Turkmen Alabay Dogs Association, and the entrance design concepts for the International Turkmen Alabay Dogs Association complexes in Balkan and Dashoguz velayats. It is important to mention that several of the modern design projects created by the institute's faculty and student youth have already been successfully implemented.
The works, which highlight the unique ideas and inventions of talented young architects, encourage a perspective on the future of our Motherland and the further development of our cities and villages. The engaging exhibition clearly reflected the consistent implementation of the large-scale urban development policy initiated by Hero Arkadag and successfully continued under the wise leadership of Arkadagly Hero Serdar, who hold the noble title of Honored Architect of Turkmenistan.
At the institute, scientific research is conducted on priority areas of science in our country, aimed at addressing vital industrial challenges in fields such as ecology and the rational use of natural resources, energy, chemical technologies, the production of new competitive products, construction, architecture, seismology, as well as information and information technology.
The main objective of the conference is to strengthen friendly relations and promote the exchange of mutually beneficial scientific information and experience among professors, teachers, postgraduates, students of partner higher educational institutions in our country and abroad, as well as scientists from research institutions and industry specialists.
The opening ceremony of the international scientific and practical conference was held in the large 1,000-seat conference hall of the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute. Professors, lecturers, doctoral candidates, and representatives of research institutions from 18 prestigious foreign higher educational institutions participated in the conference via digital system.
The international scientific and practical conference titled “The Role of Innovative Technologies in the Construction and Industrial Complex,” held at the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute via digital system on the occasion of the Day of Workers of the Construction and Industrial Complex, brought together a total of 34 representatives from 18 foreign countries — specifically from the United States of America, the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Belarus, Great Britain, the Republic of Montenegro, Finland, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Federal Republic of Germany, the Republic of Georgia, South Korea, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of India, the Republic of Latvia, Malaysia, the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Russian Federation (including the Republic of Tatarstan), and the Republic of Tajikistan —representing 10 foreign higher educational institutions and 9 international organizations. Furthermore, 277 representatives from 24 higher educational institutions, 6 agencies, and research institutes of Turkmenistan also participated.
In total, 311 representatives from 40 higher educational institutions and research institutions of Turkmenistan and 18 foreign countries, alongside 9 international organizations, took part in the event. In their speeches during the plenary session of the international scientific and practical conference, foreign scientists spoke about the traditions and characteristics of the architectural art of their nations, modern construction innovations actively introduced around the world, and innovative technological developments. The discussions generated great interest, covering topics related to creating a comfortable urban environment, developing design integrated with natural beauty, increasing the efficiency of architectural and construction education, and training high-level specialists.
Following the plenary session of the international scientific and practical conference, the work of the conference continued in 4 sections. Afterward, the closing ceremony of the international scientific and practical conference was held in the Large Conference Hall of the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute.In their presentations, the professors, lecturers, and students participating in the international scientific and practical conference paid significant attention to the issues in modern science, particularly the importance of the digital economy and technologies in the architecture and construction sector. In particular, production of eco-friendly building materials, “smart” city concepts, and new scientific perspectives on energy-saving technologies served as the main topics of the conference.
Today, alongside all sectors of our national economy, the construction and industrial sector of our beloved Motherland is developing at a rapid pace. Tasks such as creating innovative manufacturing facilities within the construction and industrial complex, building large industrial enterprises, expanding production capacity for import-substituting goods, enhancing the sector's export potential, and integrating the digital economy into the system are being successfully accomplished. Numerous new, exemplary cities, towns, and modern villages have been established, reflecting the creative spirit of our era while building upon the national architectural heritage handed down by our ancestors. This demonstrates that Turkmenistan's scientific policy is evolving in harmony with world-class advancements.
The participants of the international scientific and practical online conference titled “The Role of Innovative Technologies in the Construction and Industrial Complex” expressed their deep gratitude to our Esteemed President and Hero Arkadag for remarkable achievements and the art of architecture of our Motherland. They wished Hero Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar sound health, long life, and continuous success in all state- and internationally significant endeavors aimed at the benefit of our country's construction and industrial sectors during the Era of Revival of the New Epoch of the Powerful State.
