On October 9–10, 2026, dedicated to the year "Independent, Permanently Neutral Turkmenistan – the Land of Swift Steeds", competitions in Muay Thai and Wushu were held. The event was organized by the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports of Turkmenistan and the Main Department for Physical Culture and Sports of Ashgabat City.
Students majoring in Applied Geodesy at the Road Construction Faculty of the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute successfully participated and achieved high results. Among them:
• Gochgulyyev Dortguly (4th-year student) — won 1st places in Muay Thai in the 91+ kg weight category and in Wushu in the 100+ kg weight category;
• Saparov Davut (1st-year student) — won 1st places in Muay Thai in the 51 kg weight category and in Wushu in the 48 kg weight category.
Following the results of the competitions, our students were awarded Certificates of Honor, medals, and trophies.
These victories achieved by our youth are a clear reflection of their dedication to sports, persistent hard work, and high level of preparation. These successes represent a worthy contribution to further elevating the sporting prestige of our institute.
