On April 7, 2026, on the occasion of the declaration of the year 2026 as “Independent neutral Turkmenistan – the homeland of purposeful winged horses” and in connection with the international events planned for the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s sacred Independence, the Volunteer Center of the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute organized an educational seminar titled “Health, Inspiration, Friendship” for students of the specialized 116th secondary school of Ashgabat, which focuses on the intensive study of foreign languages. The seminar was dedicated to April 7 – World Health Day, with the aim of preparing student volunteers at a high level for international events and sharing their experience with students.
K. Allabayeva, a senior lecturer at the “Languages” department, gave a detailed talk to students about World Health Day, which is celebrated annually at the state level under the leadership of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero Arkadag, and our Honorable President, Arkadagly Hero Serdar. She highlighted that this auspicious date is marked by numerous sporting and physical fitness activities, various competitions, and other large-scale events. She also spoke about how our White City, Ashgabat, has become one of the centers for holding international sports events of world standards in recent years, and discussed the role of volunteers and the duties they perform in international events held in our country.
M. Bayramgulyyeva, a lecturer at the “Languages” department, spoke about the use of sports terms in the English language. She explained the names of various types of sports in English and the idioms used in a figurative sense related to them. She reinforced this topic with various exercises and tasks. The students received extensive information about sports terminology in English.
Additionally, volunteer students from the “Information Security” language learning division of the Faculty of Computer Technology and Automation of our institute gave presentations on the theme “Sport – the Source of Health”. They spoke in English about the historical significance of the major sports facilities built and commissioned in our country, and how World Health Day is an international holiday that places special importance on human health, physical education, and sport, celebrating high traditions of humanitarianism.
This educational seminar held among students under the title “Health, Inspiration, Friendship” was very impressive, and students received answers to the questions that interested them.
