In the era of the Revival of the New Epoch of the Powerful State, in the year “Independent, Neutral Turkmenistan — the homeland of purposeful winged horses”. dedicated to the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan's Independence and the opening of the new building complex of the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute, the “Industrial Ecology” department organized a scientific-practical conference on April 22, 2026. The conference, titled “Industrial Ecology and Green Chemistry: Global Trends in Environmental Protection”, was held via a digital system for professors and teachers of higher and secondary vocational schools, as well as students, with the aim of promotion and education.
The head of the department, Bagul Atayeva, opened the conference with an introductory speech titled “Industrial Ecology and Green Chemistry”. In her introduction, she noted that industrial ecology is a model of nature, while green chemistry represents radically innovative solutions, emphasizing that the development of these fields is not only the task of scientists or engineers but the responsibility of each of us. Senior Lecturer of the department Ogulbagt Orazdurdyyeva spoke on “Waste Processing and Green Energy”; Ogulbibi Annamyradova, a trainee teacher of the “Industrial Ecology” department of the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University, spoke on “Analysis of Water Composition Based on Hydrochemical Indicators of the Altyn Asyr Turkmen Lake”; Mamajan Shukurova, a postgraduate student at the Institute of Chemistry of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, spoke on “Scientific Foundations for Obtaining Biologically Active Substances from Licorice Production Waste”; and Maya Artykova, a chemistry teacher and member of the general department for “Professional Subjects” of the Ashgabat Construction Secondary Vocational School, spoke on “Ecology and Chemistry of Our Daily Life”, Senior Lecturer of the “Languages” department, Kumush Allabayeva, spoke on the topic “Global Issues of Environmental Protection”.
The speakers stated that through industry based on clean technologies, strategic planning of industrial ecology, and molecular-level innovations in green chemistry, results such as the conservation of natural resources, effective combat against climate change, and the creation of economically competitive and environmentally friendly production can be achieved. A question-and-answer session was held during the online scientific-educational conference.
At the end of the conference, the speakers expressed their profound gratitude to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero Arkadag, and our Honorable President, Arkadagly Hero Serdar, for the opportunities created to implement economic development based on green technologies in the era of the Revival of the New Epoch of the Powerful State, in the year “Independent, Neutral Turkmenistan — the homeland of purposeful winged horses”
