Between October 4 and 10, 2026, the large-scale Turkmenistan Armwrestling Championship took place. Bakymuhammet Atayev, a 3rd-year student of the Faculty of Chemical Technology at the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute, demonstrated worthy results at the national championship. Showing excellent physical fitness, determination, and a true sporting spirit, he made it into the top three. Following intense matches, Bakymuhammet won a bronze medal, taking an honorable 3rd place.
