On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality and the declaration of 2025 as the “International Year of Peace and Trust” by the United Nations General Assembly, and to implement the plan approved by the Coordinating Council for Teaching Languages under the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan for 2025, the Turkmen State Institute of Economics and Management held an online educational and methodological conference entitled “Language is an important means of uniting peoples and strengthening trust” on December 6, 2025, for foreign language teachers from Turkmenistan’s higher educational institutions whose primary specialization is not language training. At this methodological conference, Nabat Garryeva, a teacher from the “Languages” department of the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute, gave a presentation titled “The role of idioms in improving communicative skills”. Teachers from the International University for Humanities and Development, the Turkmen State Institute of Economics and Management, and the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University also participated, discussing the large-scale work being carried out under the leadership of the Esteemed President concerning foreign language teaching. In summary, the methodological conference provided a great opportunity to discuss different perspectives and ideas.
