Under the wise leadership of our Esteemed President — in the Revival of the New Era of the Powerful State, and in the year “Independent, Neutral Turkmenistan - the Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses” — every single day of our Motherland is filled with joyful historic events, and the country itself has transformed into a land of grand celebrations. Inspired by these historic milestones and fittingly honoring these glorious dates, our beloved people are welcoming another blessed holiday – Gurban Bayramy. Following centuries-old traditions, meaningful, colorful, and musical celebrations are being held across all cities and villages of our country in honor of this sacred holiday. On May 15, 2026, the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute hosted a festive concert and an exhibition of Turkmen national crafts and cuisine titled “Turkmen National Heritage - The Pride of Our People” to mark the occasions of Gurban Bayramy and the Day of the Turkmen Carpet.

During the event, our esteemed mothers, representing the older generation, along with female students, gave captivating presentations detailing the profound significance of Gurban Bayramy and the Turkmen carpet. To mark Gurban Bayramy, the institute's Women's Organization organized an exhibition showcasing a rich variety of national dishes. The festive atmosphere of the celebration was further heightened by the institute’s musical and folklore group, “Bagtyyarlyk Binasy”, which performed songs praising the Hero Arkadag, our Esteemed President, and the precious national heritage created by our people.

Gurban Bayramy, along with all Muslim nations, is one of the most revered and sacred holidays of the Turkmen people, passed down from generation to generation over millennia. Gurban Bayramy is a family holiday, during which festive sacrifices are made and traditional dishes are prepared in every home. It is a celebration of goodwill and mercy, a festivity that unites people. Gurbanlyk embodies the unity, solidarity, and the free, happy life of our prosperous people, as well as a high respect for the individual.

The noble traditions of our mothers and grandmothers originate from the very first days of a child's life. Special importance has always been placed on the upbringing and mentorship given to girls. From early childhood, they were taught needlework — the art of "keshte" and "kojume" embroidery — and as they grew older, the art of carpet weaving. A striking testament to this is the inclusion of the Turkmen national carpet weaving art into the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

During the festive event, other participating teachers and female students expressed their sincere gratitude to the Hero Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar for their noble activities in popularizing our national heritage both within the country and across the world. They wished them robust health, long years of life, and further grand successes in their large-scale affairs of state importance.
