On June 27–28, 2026, the 2026 Asia Oceania Sambo Championships was held in Manila, the Philippines. Babamurat Bayramov, a third-year student majoring in Power Supply at the Faculty of Engineering Mechanics of the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction, successfully competed in the tournament and won the silver medal, earning an honorable second place.
This achievement has further enhanced the sporting prestige of our country.
