Students of the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute won first place in an inter-university competition

On September 24, 2025, students from the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute successfully competed and took first place in the “Inter-University Environmental Public Speaking Competition” organized by the International University for the Humanities and Development. This competition was organized to promote innovative and sustainable ecological projects among our country's youth, expand their knowledge of climate change, the environment, and sustainable development, and contribute to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The team of students from our institute presented on the topic “Urbanization and Well-being: The Role of Sustainable Cities in Public Health”. In their presentation, the students showcased the potential to convert harmful waste into useful resources and introduced a project to “Create an energy source from waste using bio-gases”. This project will help create sustainable, resilient cities that protect people's health and prevent environmental pollution. The team's innovative and creative presentation was highly praised by both the jury and the audience.

The winning team, led by Bayramtach Oraztaganova, a senior lecturer of the “Languages” department, included Yslam Saryjayev, Malika Charyyeva, and Abdylla Nazarov from the Faculty of Architecture and Construction, as well as Serdar Mammetsahetov and Aybolek Ashyrova from the Faculty of Computer Technology and Automation. Together, they demonstrated profound knowledge and expertise in sustainable development and environmental protection.

This competition is a clear example of the contribution that students of the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute are making to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. The regular holding of such competitions is an important step in increasing students’ interest in innovation and environmental protection projects, helping them to reveal their creative potential, and enabling them to contribute to the development of our country in the future.
