A “Russian–Turkmen Technological Dictionary” for higher educational institutions, prepared by Associate Professor of the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute A. Penjiyev, together with G. Chonanov and B. Mammedov has been published. The dictionary was edited by the “Ylym” Publishing house of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan.
The “Russian–Turkmen Technological Dictionary” includes words and terms related to renewable energy, environmental protection, and nanotechnology. It is purposed for specialists working in the engineering and technical fields, professors and teachers of technical higher educational institutions and secondary professional schools, as well as students and a wide readership. The dictionary serves as a reference for the widespread use of scientific and technical words and terms.
New specialties are being opened in the higher educational institutions of our country, and modern books and textbooks are being regularly prepared. With the introduction of new specialties in universities, relevant words, terms, and concepts also come into use. Therefore, there is a growing need for bilingual dictionaries that explain the meanings of such foreign-language terms and concepts.
Based on these considerations, the “Russian–Turkmen Technological Dictionary” was prepared at the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute. The authors of the dictionary aim to further improve and enhance it in the future.
