On January 28–29, 2026, Associate Professor A. Penjiyev participated in the international scientific-practical online seminar titled «Чтения академика В.Н.Болтинского» organized by the Institute of Mechanics and Energetics of the Russian State Agrarian University. During the seminar, he delivered a presentation on the topic: “Thermal Energy Resources of the Salt Deposits of the Kara-Bogaz-Gol in the Caspian Sea”.
A. Penjiyev discussed the research and findings regarding the solar energy potential of the Kara-Bogaz-Gol. He provided a detailed analysis of the thermal energy sources within the bay's salt deposits, supported by mathematical calculations, monthly meteorological data, and solar radiation charts. Furthermore, his presentation highlighted the potential for constructing a solar power plant in the region.
The unique characteristics and vast potential of Turkmenistan’s Kara-Bogaz-Gol sparked significant interest among the seminar participants, leading to an engaging Q&A session on several key issues.
